Lidia Matticchio Bastianich

Lidia Matticchio Bastianich is diversified in her interests and talents. She co-owns the Felidia and Becco restaurants in famous chefs -  Lidia Matticchio Bastianich New York with her son Joseph, owns the Lidia’s restaurants in Kansas City and Pittsburgh. She also stars in two internationally aired television shows, Lidia’s Italian American Kitchen and Lidia’s Italian Table. Well known sauce lines called Lidia’s Flavors of Italy and another one produced specifically for Williams Sonoma, are also hers.

Enlisting the help of her daughter, Tanya, an art historian, she has an elite culinary tour company called Esperienze Italiane. She is also an author and columnist. Finding time to head the Lidia Matticchio Bastianich Foundation can not be easy for such a busy individual. However, her commitment to the less fortunate never flags. She has given educational opportunity to any in need with no regard to culture.

Julia Child

There are few people who are not familiar with the name and celebrity of the late Julia Child. When thinking of famous chefs, her name is sure to be first among famous chefs - Julia Child those to pop into mind. Her public notoriety began with the co-authorship of the book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. In 1963, on a WGBH-Boston television show, Julian became The French Chef.

Other television cooking series included Julia Child & Company, Julia Child & More Company, Cooking with Master Chefs, Baking with Julia, Julia and Jacques Cooking at Home and Dinner at Julia’s. Accompanying cookbooks from these series were also huge successes. Julia’s contribution to the education of other aspiring cooks came in the form of her many books, columns, articles and a 6 videocassette teaching series called The Way to Cook.

Graham Kerr

Graham, perhaps better known as the Galloping Gourmet, is one several famous chefs that advocate eating to promote healthy living. Among his successes as famous television chef are the series The Gathering Place,famous chefs - Graham Kerr Swiftly Seasoned, The Best of Kerr, Graham Kerr’s Kitchen, The Graham Kerr Show, Simply Marvelous, A Bite with Kerr, Take Kerr and of course The Galloping Gourmet.

Kerr has also won numerous accolades and awards including being inducted into the American Culinary Federation Hall of Fame and winning a Gold Medal for the Graham Kerr Cookbook at the International Culinary Olympics, Frankfurt, Germany. Kerr’s efforts to promoting health and well-being through intelligent food choices have earned him numerous other honorary degrees and associations as well.
